Hair Length, Timing & Prep: How to Come Ready for Your Wax Appointment

One of the most common questions we hear is “How long should my hair be before waxing?” The sweet spot is about ¼ inch long - roughly the length of a grain of rice. This allows the wax to grip the hair properly for the smoothest, most effective results. Hair that’s too short may not remove cleanly, and may not give nice smooth results.
Timing matters too. Most clients wax every 4–6 weeks, which helps train the hair growth cycle and leads to better results over time. Consistency is key, your skin (and your waxer) will thank you. Before your appointment, exfoliate gently about 24 to 48 hours prior and arrive with clean, product-free skin for the best experience.
Preparing for your wax isn’t about perfection, it’s about partnership. When you come prepared, we can give you results that last longer and feel better. Remember, every appointment is progress, and every step you take toward caring for your body is worth celebrating.
